Processes

We control the whole process at our plant, from the customer’s file to the folded, palletised carton.

1. Design and prepress

• Structural design and graphic design.
• Advice on materials and finishes.
• Physical mock-ups on a sample plotter.
• CTP (computer to plate) prepress: plates imaged directly from the file, with no film.
• Automatic Pantone ink dispensing to guarantee colour on every run.

2. Printing

• UV offset and conventional offset.
• Reactive inks and in-line finishes.
• New automatic printing line commissioned in 2026 under the project supported by CDTI. More information under Grants.

3. Finishing

• Embossing and debossing.
• Braille for pharmaceutical packaging, inspected with the DOT SCAN system.
• Hot stamping.
• Varnishes, lamination and microflute laminating.
• Alphanumeric coding and special labelling (scented, RFID).

4. Die cutting and gluing

• Die cutting of solid board, microflute and plastic.
• Gluing of straight-line, crash-lock and special cartons, with a machine vision system that checks every carton.
• PUR adhesive for plastic products.
• Window patching and in-line labelling.
• Robotic palletising at the end of the line.

5. Quality control

• Robinson test: verification that the packaging keeps the food product’s aroma and flavour intact.
• Olfactory test.
• Colour and register control during the run.
• Testing and traceability in line with our certified management systems. See Quality and certificates.
