Quality and certificates

The quality of a carton is measured on the customer’s packing line and on the shelf. That is why we control every stage of the process and test the product before shipping it.

Certified management systems

Novograf operates a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 and a food packaging safety system certified to FSSC 22000, both audited by Bureau Veritas. For raw materials of forest origin we hold FSC and PEFC chain of custody certified by AENOR.

Chain of custody

The chain of custody is the path raw materials take from the forest to the consumer. Novograf identifies and controls the sources of FSC and PEFC certified material, maintains their traceability throughout the production process and trains all the staff involved. We undertake not to be involved, directly or indirectly, in illegal logging, violation of rights in forestry operations, destruction of high conservation values, conversion of forests to plantations or the use of genetically modified organisms.

Policies

Our quality and food safety policy (revision 3, October 2026) and our chain of custody policy are available to customers, suppliers and authorities in a single document.

Product testing

  • Robinson test: verification that the packaging keeps the product’s aroma and flavour intact.
  • Olfactory test.
  • Braille inspection with the DOT SCAN system.
  • Colour, register and gluing control during the run.

Environment

We sort all production by-products at source and hand them to authorised managers for recycling or, where required, specialised treatment, and generate part of the energy we use with a 252 kW solar self-consumption plant.
